The Orbit Division at STI endeavors to prepare our special needs students to assimilate, acclimate and adapt themselves into the regular classes. We understand that every child is different and sometimes a child just needs that small extra push and/or encouragement in order to excel together with their peers.

With one of our principles being “No Child Left Behind,” STI strives to take care of every child in every division by exploiting our dynamic and comprehensive learning programs.

The STI Primary School boasts over 2 (two) decades of education excellence and is well established in Jakarta with a long successful record of achievements in academics, sports and arts. The curriculum at STI’s Primary School is based on the Indoneisan National Curriculum and taught through the thematically. Our teaching method reflects the needs of the international and multi-cultural student body in this globalizing era from the Indonesian perspective. Resources and facilities are exceptional and help to provide a stimulating and exciting environment that encourages children to fully engage in their learning. All classrooms are purpose built having shared open areas, art rooms and access to outdoor learning areas.

Apart from the classrooms, children have access to a wide range of specialist facilities such as a sporting facilities, the STI Theater, professional grade musical instruments and equipments, extensive outdoor learning areas, modern foreign language classrooms as well as activities beyond our campus facilities.

The Primary School of Sekolah Tunas Indonesia has consistently been accredited Grade A by the Accreditation of the National Accreditation Board.

CURRICULUM HIGHLIGHTS

Sekolah Tunas Indonesia uses a combined integration of the National Standard Curriculum (K13) and Cambridge Primary Curriculum style. This integration focuses on making connections for students, allowing them to engage in relevant, meaningful actvities that are applicable to real life situation. It also opens the potential for both teachers and students to become more successful in the classroom. STI has hosted the Cambridge English Test and has become a Cambridge English Assessment – Authorized Exam Centre for 2020.

MEMBERSHIP

Admission into the Primary School at Sekolah Tunas Indonesia requires a potential student to be 7 years old or at least 6 years old in July. If the student is less than 6 years old, please attach a recommendation letter from a psychologist stating that in his/her professional assessment, such student is deemed matured and capable to join a primary school
